What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT VDC Fiscal Specialist II position at Northeast Florida Area Agency?
Summary
This position will work remotely most of the time. Maintains financial, payroll records for the Agency and the Veterans Directed Care awarded to ElderSource by computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data.

I. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
A. Prepare Veteran documentation packets for all approved budget related updates.
B. File necessary Federal and State Tax forms and documentation timely.
C. Maintain open communication with the PCC’s in regard to timesheets, payroll, budget updates, and all other related matters.
D. Maintain open communication with the VA Medical Center in regard to questions or concerns with veterans enrollment status, budget, and payroll information.
E. Verify and process changes requested by the PCC’s, VA Medical Center, and or, Veteran.
F. Ensuring all payroll documents are accurately processed and submitted on time.
G. Submit request for reimbursement to the Veterans Department on a monthly basis.
H. Monitoring the processing and receipt of timecards, and maintaining data tables for timekeepers and certifying officials.
I. Providing training to timekeepers and offering guidance on payroll-related issues..
J. Reviewing payroll reports, initiating corrective actions when necessary, and resolving any discrepancies.
K. Monitor internal timecards and prepare all related reports
L. Perform detailed routine and special audits and reconciliations of payroll information to ensure data integrity.
M. Desk Audit and Review of VDC files.
N. Maintain, file, and store all necessary files and documentation in assigned locations and or database.
II. Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and seven years professional or non-professional experience specifically in aging.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A Bachelor Degree in Accounting (Not Preferred) and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
III. Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, this position should have knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Pre-employment background check and drug screen will be conducted on top candidate. It is mandatory that a candidate be able to pass a Level II criminal background check through the Department of Elder Affairs prior to starting work.
Salary: $22.15/Per Hour
