Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The Quality Assurance (QA) Director will advance the mission of Fatherhood Pride by overseeing the organization’s quality assurance strategies, ensuring that all programs and operational processes align with best practices and organizational standards. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining QA processes, training staff on quality protocols, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The QA Director will work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure that the organization’s mission and goals are met.

Quality Assurance Strategy & Program Oversight

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the organization’s overall quality assurance strategy to ensure that all programs and services meet internal and external standards.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of QA processes that align with the mission and strategic goals of Northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of program outcomes, and work with staff to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership in developing and maintaining a culture of quality throughout the program.

Team Leadership

  • Facilitate regular training and educational sessions for all staff on QA processes, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Work with program director to establish quality goals and ensure all staff members understand their roles in achieving these goals.
  • Promote an inclusive, team-oriented environment that emphasizes the importance of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Reporting

    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and funding agency requirements.
    • Prepare and submit reports for internal use and for funders or regulatory bodies, ensuring that reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
    • Track and monitor quality assurance performance against established goals and standards, adjusting strategies as needed.

    Collaboration & Engagement

    • Collaborate with the Leadership Team and department leads to align QA activities with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
    • Work with community stakeholders, including partner agencies, to ensure that QA practices align with industry standards and meet the needs of the populations served.
    • Lead cross-functional meetings to address quality issues, share best practices, and develop collaborative solutions.

    Administrative & Operational Support

    • Maintain all necessary QA documentation and records in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational manuals, quality standards documentation, and staff training materials.
    • Oversee the organization’s internal process improvement initiatives, including managing the identification, reporting, and resolution of quality issues.

All other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary leadership.
  • Must be able to travel to attend conferences, training and other events, as required.
  • Ability to work flexible traditional and non-traditional hours.
  • Ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Coalition partner agency staff, Board committees, volunteers, staff, donors and the general public.
  • Knowledge of contract management and auditing.
  • Knowledge of budget and expenditures monitoring.
  • Experience in personnel supervision, management and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and be a team player at the Coalition.
  • Must be able to commit to the Coalition vision and be passionate about its mission.
  • Requires reliable transportation as travel is required, valid driver’s license, good driving record and automobile insurance.

  • Maintain professional boundaries

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to travel to alternate locations.
  • Required to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear while performing the duties of this job, regularly. The position requires extensive computer use so the employee must have sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Public Health, Non-profit Management, or related field.

Minimum of three years of experience in quality assurance, program evaluation, or related field.

Experience working in a non-profit environment preferred.

Lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds

This position is dependent upon the continuation of funding. As such this position may terminate when the funding is no longer available.
