Organizational Background:
Northeast Health Partners (NHP) is a mission-driven organization dedicated to delivering high-quality, integrated healthcare services to communities across northeastern Colorado. As the Regional Accountable Entity (RAE) for Region 2 under Health First Colorado (Medicaid), NHP oversees the coordination and delivery of physical and behavioral health services for Medicaid members. We ensure a full spectrum of high quality, whole-person care, promoting member education, preventive services, care coordination, and evidence-based treatments are core to our mission.
Position Summary:
The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster strong relationships between NHP and the communities it serves in Region 2. This role involves promoting outreach initiatives, organizing events, and facilitating communication to enhance community involvement and support for the organization.
Must reside in the State of Colorado or be willing to relocate prior to position start date.
Duties Performed:
- Outreach and Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with community members, organizations, and local leaders.
- Identify community needs and opportunities for collaboration.
- Develop and execute outreach plans to increase awareness of programs and services.
- Program Development:
- Collaborate with internal teams to design community-focused initiatives.
- Organize and coordinate events that bring together community members, stakeholders, and organizational leaders to promote collaboration and understanding.
- Collect and analyze feedback to improve community engagement efforts.
- Communication:
- Create promotional materials, newsletters, and social media content to communicate with the community.
- Serve as a point of contact for community inquiries and concerns.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and the community, ensuring transparent communication and active participation in our programs and initiatives.
- Represent the organization at community meetings and events.
- Reporting and Evaluation:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders on engagement activities and outcomes.
- Recommend improvements based on community feedback and engagement trends.
Education/Credentials/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare, or other closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree, applicant must have 3 years’ experience in areas identified below. Masters’ Degree must have 1 year experience in one or more of the following:
- Fostering relationships with external stakeholders
- Developing health programs or interventions
- Coordinating health program activities to achieve outcomes
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
- Federal, state and local regulations regarding delivery and documentation of healthcare services.
- Organizational sensitivity regarding complex relationships with federal, state and local agencies, government entities.
- Advanced computer programs, software applications, and data collection (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, project management software).
Skills/Abilities to:
- Bi-lingual Candidates encouraged to apply

Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment; however, a hybrid work model may be offered, blending in-office and remote work opportunities based on organizational needs and job requirements. Some meetings will occur at locations outside of the usual work location, including the use of conference and electronic meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, GoToMeeting). All positions require travel within the counties NHP serves.
SALARY RANGE:
Salary Range: $45,0000.00 - $60,000.00. The base compensation represents the entry point of the range. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, education, licensure, and performance.
