As the Regional Accountable Entity (RAE) for Region 2 under Health First Colorado (Medicaid), NHP oversees the coordination and delivery of physical and behavioral health services for Medicaid members. Position Summary:
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to NHP users and community providers. This role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring that IT systems and applications run smoothly. The specialist will install, configure, and maintain computer systems, respond to service requests, and document technical issues and solutions. Strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role. This role will also be responsible for developing and delivering training programs on IT systems and applications to employees and community providers of NHP. This role involves conducting IT skills gap analyses, designing technical manuals, and training employees and community providers on NHP’s systems. The IT End User Specialist evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and updates them as needed to ensure they meet the NHP's needs. Strong communication and presentation skills, along with a deep understanding of IT systems, are essential for success in this role.
Must reside in the State of Colorado or be willing to relocate prior to position start date.
Duties Performed:
- Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Train and assist users in the use of computer equipment and software.
- Respond to trouble tickets through Zen Planner.
System Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.
Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for systems and procedures.
System Audits: Perform routine audits of computer systems and software.
Policy Adherence: Ensure adherence to company IT policies and procedures.
Performance Optimization: Ensure optimal system performance through regular evaluations and system updates.
Disaster Recovery: Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
End User Training:
- Assess training needs and design training programs.
- Conduct workshops, individual training sessions, and community provider training.
- Prepare educational materials such as module summaries and presentations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and update them as needed
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proven experience as a help desk technician or in a customer support role.
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
Education/Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Certifications like CISSP or CISM are preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of IT security trends.
Experience:
- 2 years’ experience working in IT Support role.
Knowledge of:
- Windows 11, Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft Entra, Office 365 Applications, Power Point and SharePoint
- Laptop configuration, remote access tools, Apple and Android phones, VPN Connectivity
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentations skills
- Strong understanding of IT systems and applications.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment; however, a hybrid work model may be offered, blending in-office and remote work opportunities based on organizational needs and job requirements. Some meetings will occur at locations outside of the usual work location, including the use of conference and electronic meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, GoToMeeting). All positions require travel within the counties NHP serves.
SALARY RANGE:
- Salary Range: $45,0000.00 - $65,000.00. The base compensation represents the entry point of the range. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, education, licensure, and performance.
