Job purpose
The IT Support Specialist 1 is an integral member of the IT Support team, who will report directly to the VP of IT. This technician provides remote and onsite support for all technical solutions The Water Valley Company uses. This technician will handle support requests that arise via a ticketing platform and email. This individual will also be responsible for completing other scheduled and pre-determined tasks as assigned. This is a part-time role.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with end users’ requests via support tickets, and direct emails
- Maintain record of all work performed, original issues, and result
- Research unclear issues using references and Internet forums
- Troubleshoot issues on Windows and MAC operating systems
- Assist with Office and Outlook configuration
- Transfer user profiles between workstations
- Install PCs, equipment, and peripherals
- Diagnose and repair / upgrade hardware issues
- Assist with printer, copier, and scanner issues and / or repair
- Work with vendors and third-party companies as required
- Monitor and report creation of EDR and RMM tools
- Perform monthly user audits across all systems

Working conditions
Schedule typically between 9am and 6pm. This position may require employee to be on-call at certain times and may require weekend or nighttime coverage. This Technician must have reliable transportation available for traveling to various client locations.
Physical requirements
This position requires both extended periods of sitting and extended periods of standing, depending on the situation. May be required to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds. As well as working from heights to install and troubleshoot hardware.
