Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) must be highly dependable and have a passion for helping those with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities live more independently, pursue their personal interests and goals, and be an active part of their community. Working one-on-one with each client, you will assess their needs and tend to them accordingly, with the goal of fostering a positive, encouraging environment. Training is provided. Prior experience is a plus, but not required. Flexible scheduling needs can be accommodated! Mileage reimbursement included.   The primary responsibility of Direct Support Professional includes, but is not limited to:   Provide support and guidance to individuals in employment settings to enable individuals to obtain and retain employment. Advocate and assist individuals with relating to family, community and others in a competent and respectful manner. Facilitate valued social roles, and relationships. Assist and support individuals to develop natural supports in the community and work sites.     Position Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with individuals who have an intellectual/development disability preferred.
