In this role, you'll be at the heart of our Food Microbiology and Radon laboratories, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your primary duties will include receiving and analyzing samples, entering data, and reporting results. You'll also perform technical functions such as equipment maintenance and inventory management. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential as you'll work closely with various departments. While a college-level education is preferred, your passion and commitment are what truly matter.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Advanced Testing: Perform comprehensive Radon and Food Microbiology testing procedures using cutting-edge techniques like microscopy, liquid scintillation, assays, and culture-based methods. Your precision will ensure the accuracy and reliability of our results.
· Sample Coordination: Manage the entire sample lifecycle, from receiving and logging to data entry and reporting. Your attention to detail will keep our operations running smoothly.
· Technical Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on laboratory equipment, ensuring everything is in top working condition. Your technical expertise will minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
· Supply Management: Assist in maintaining department supplies and materials, ensuring we are always well-stocked and prepared for any challenge.
· Quality Compliance: Perform all duties in strict accordance with the company’s quality and safety guidelines, as well as certifying body standards. Your commitment to compliance will uphold our reputation for excellence.
· Documentation Excellence: Assist in reviewing and revising Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Manuals, and other controlled documents. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure our documentation is always up-to-date and accurate.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology or a closely related science.
Experience: Two or more years closely-related lab experience preferred.
Alternate: Associate’s degree in Microbiology or a closely related science or four or more years closely related lab experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma.
