SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct services to parents, children, and their families, in which there is a diagnosis of serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance as defined in the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM). Willdevelop and complete Intake Assessments, Pre-Plans andIndividual Plans of Service, consistent with person centered planning guidelines. Focuses on improving parenting skills, enhancing knowledge of childdevelopment, supporting positive parent-child interaction, resolving emotional conflicts, and assisting with themanagement of stressful daily events. Clinician will be requiredto provide clinical services to children and families in the homeor community setting. Service provision includes treating the child and family unit.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A Masters Degree from an accredited school in psychology, social work or counseling. Must possess appropriate state licensure.
Experience: Experience providing children andfamily mental health services within a treatment team preferred. MI-AIMH Endorsement for Early Childhood/Infant MentalHealth valued. Lived experience with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders valued. Functional computer literacy is required.
Rate of Pay: $60,299-$83,324
FLSA: Exempt/Full Time
Reports To: Children's Services Supervisor
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide assessments and direct person-centered services. Demonstrate accurateassessment and diagnosis, utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association.
2. Demonstrateeffective case recording in accordance with Person Centered Planning, and NeMCMHA"Case Recording Guidelines".
3. Maintain professional working relationships and collaboration with othercommunity services for infants, children and families.
4. Actively participates as a member of the Children'sDiagnostic and Treatment Team, providing emergent assessment of families in crisis.
5. Participates in on-callrotationfor Mobile Intensive Crisis Stabilization Services (ICSS).
6. Staff will be expected to participate in trainings aimed at the provision of services for individuals with cooccuring disorders.
7. Will implement evidencebased practicesto meet goals and objectives as outlined in the Individual Plan of Service (IPOS).
8. Demonstratesknowledge of universal precautions, standards of practice including but not limited to confidentiality and recipient rights, and emergency protocol.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs other related duties as required.
2. May be requested to be involved in the Board's continuousquality improvementprogram.
3. Maybe required to provide owntransportation while performing agency-related duties.
