General Duties
The Assistant Director of Nursing Quality-Infection Control Practitioner (ADNQ-IC) coordinates on-going adherence to quality standards to ensure compliance with published Joint Commission standards. The ADNQ-Infection Control Practitioner uses scientifically based infection prevention practices and implements throughout NEON health centers and facilities. Educates health center staff about infectious diseases. Works with the NEON practitioner team to assure staff compliance and competence to prevent health care-associated infections (HAI's). Isolates sources of infections. Plans appropriate interventions to limit their transmission. Collects, analyzes and interprets data to track infections and reports to NEON Quality Improvement Committee. Cooperates and participates in NEON's Joint Commission continuous accreditation program. Coordinates the preparation and on-going compliance with quality standards published by The Joint Commission.
Education
Registered Nurse degree required.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) desired but not required.
Technical Skills
Use and / pr operate office equipment, i.e. personal computers, calculators, copier and fax machine.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Must demonstrate efficiency in the usage of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systems.
