Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides Tier 2 - 3 troubleshooting and support on hardware and software problems across different platforms.
- Engineer, install, configure, and maintain data network, telephony, network servers, and routers, switch equipment, wide area network element managers and local area network equipment including Nokia 7750 SR12 routers, and Nokia 7360 OLTs, and CGNAT.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) on core routers to ensure efficient routing and peering.
- Work closely with Network Support, Network Operations Center, Vendor TAC, and TSR’s to troubleshoot and resolve all issues related to a service offered by company.
- Monitor and maintain IP transit, peering, and routing policies in coordination with external providers.
- Network Optimization: Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient bandwidth utilization.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, monitor for vulnerabilities, and coordinate with relevant teams for network security measures.
- Consults with co-workers and vendors to ensure satisfactory workmanship.
- Applies knowledge of engineering and design to new system networks and future build-outs.
- Enhances job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities as assigned.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain updated documentation for network architecture, IP allocations, and configurations.
- As part of a service-oriented organization, perform all duties as assigned as requested, whether scheduled or on an emergency basis.

Qualifications & Experience
- Certifications:
- Nokia NRS I or II (Nokia Network Routing Specialist) preferred.
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent network-related certification.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong experience in BGP configuration and troubleshooting on service provider-grade routers.
- Expertise in CGNAT implementation and troubleshooting in an ISP environment.
- Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) and ARIN processes.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools, SNMP-based platforms, and network automation.
- Familiarity with fiber optic networks, OLT management, and PON (Passive Optical Network) configurations.
Experience with local area and wide area networking technologies. Network management experience in a multi-protocol, multi-vendor environment utilizing SNMP based platforms is preferred. Ability to support multiple operating systems. Experience designing and implementing operational and support standards for transport networks is a plus. CCNA/ENA/NRS preferred. Must be able to be on call and work flexible hours when necessary.
Must hold and maintain a valid Oklahoma Driver's License.
