Vehicle diagnostic technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of automotive diagnostics and maintenance tasks on various vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle systems, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Utilize schematics to diagnose problems and develop effective solutions for vehicle issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and answering any questions from clients.
• Prepare auto estimating reports for customers detailing the necessary repairs and associated costs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive repair is required.
• Familiarity with GM vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics related to automotive systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
