Construction Superintendent - Pump Station Rehabilitation and Force Main Replacement
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience with heavy civil utility, treatment plant, and pump station projects. Strong knowledge is required in the coordination and management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades (MEP). Experience in underground utility installation is preferred.
This position requires overall knowledge of heavy equipment capabilities, labor rules, and other regulations. The selected candidate will work in conjunction with the Project Manager to safely and productively build the work on time.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of contract and subcontracts to execute the work accurately and efficiently.
- Scheduling and implementing the work, working with the Project Manager to develop the basic sequencing and durations for work activities.
- Developing work plans for major activities with trade labor foremen and ensuring the work is carried out in accordance with the plan while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Efficiently managing and utilizing equipment while understanding both capabilities and limitations.
- Managing trade labor efficiently with a working knowledge of union collective bargaining agreements (CBA's).
- Monitoring production and comparing with as-bid goals, adjusting operations as needed to improve production and efficiency.
