Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee our office operations and support our financial management processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting and experience with various accounting software. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all administrative functions.
- Oversee financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, or Xero for bookkeeping and payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations and standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Conduct regular audits of financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Provide support for clerical tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and correspondence management.
Experience
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, or Xero is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and governmental accounting practices.
- Experience in payroll processing is a plus.
- Excellent financial report writing skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
