Description
The Training Supervisor is responsible for the onboarding, orientation, and training of all new NCC CUA staff, including case carrying and non-case carrying employees. Will ensure that new employees are properly and adequately onboarded and oriented to their duties and responsibilities as an NCC CUA employee and that case carrying staff meet orientation and training regulatory requirements. Work includes assigning cases and reviewing case activity for new NCC CUA Case Managers. Reports to NCC CUA Training Director and DHS as requested.
Works closely with NET training department and DHS University when necessary to ensure staff are receiving the most effective training and work-related education and best practices. Reports to CUA Director.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates an ability for program planning and implementation, staff supervision and delivery of quality services, familiarity with the principles and practices of quality improvement and fiscal management.
- Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern of individuals and families as indicated in our vision, mission, and values statements. Must adhere to applicable city, county, state and federal laws and regulations, internal and external standards.
- Coordinates with NET Human Resources to ensure new NCC CUA staff are appropriately onboarded and acclimated to their environment, duties, and functions.
- Ensures completion of new NCC CUA staff initial orientation and related orientation checklist documentation.
- Coordinates the “Foundations” state certification program for new NCC Caseworkers and Supervisors.
- Oversite of FAST/CANS certification for new and existing NCC CUA Case Managers.
- Coordinates training of new staff, specific to NCC CUA service functions; (supervisor)
- Completion of Introductory Period Performance Evaluations for new NCC CUA Case Managers.
- Provides guidance to new NCC CUA staff on policies and procedures as defined under statute, regulation and agency policy and procedure.
- Assigns cases and reviews case activity for new NCC CUA Case Managers.
- Accompanies new NCC CUA Case Managers on initial case visits, court hearings, on other functions as needed.
- In conjunction with the NCC CUA Training Director, continual program evaluation and development, including identification and/or creation and facilitation of training curriculum to address NCC CUA agency needs.
- Provides alternate coverage for NCC CUA Case Management Supervisor due to leave or absence, as needed.
- Participate in workgroups or committees designed to improve practice.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social services or related field
- One year experience in staff management in children and youth services
- Three years’ experience in the child welfare and/or social services field
- Strong analytical, project management and communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office) and ability to work with various digital information systems
- Knowledge of social work values and/or child welfare services
Salary : $65,000
