What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inpatient Administrative Assistant position at Northeastern Center Inc?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides general office and telephone coverage for the Inpatient Unit.
- Completes Inpatient admission/discharge in computer system daily.
- Completes outpatient NEC admission as required.
- Enters insurance information.
- Establishes fee basis.
- Completes entry of daily charges into computer system
- Ensures entry of all charge transaction data into NEC electronic system including, but not limited to: Daily per diem, medication dispensed, group services provided, lab charges provided, and any additional charge data performed.
- Assists with maintenance of Inpatient charts
- Completes discharge process of scanning records
- Maintains general office items, including office supplies. Distributes interoffice mail and deliveries on a daily basis. Maintains PTO/Office Coverage and on-call schedules for physicians including emergency on-call duties. Such as on call physician schedule distributions and emergency consultation forms.
- Provides administrative support for hospital administrators including but not limited to maintaining regulatory compliance for audits.
- Maintains a good working relationship with clinical staff, Area Director, Administration, clients and the general public.
- Completes work-related trainings timely as assigned or requested. (i.e. Relias, Risk Management, PSO, DCS, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School Graduate
- Experience: Two years general office work and/or supplemental courses in business that would provide the required knowledge and skills. Has familiarity with clinical charts (layouts, general requirements, etc.). Medicaid experience preferred, Medicaid Rehabilitation Option experience a plus
First Shift, Full Time, M-F, 8a - 5p
Salary based on experience.
