The AAA Services Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) in Region 1, Colorado. This position is responsible for coordinating and delivering essential services to older adults and individuals with disabilities in assigned counties, including Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, and Yuma. The coordinator will work closely with various programs under the AAA, ensuring compliance with state certifications and contributing to community outreach and program development. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage services for assigned counties in Region 1, ensuring compliance with AAA and state guidelines.
- Acquire and maintain certifications as a Colorado Certified Ombudsman, SHIP Coordinator, and ADRC Coordinator.
- Develop and implement programs aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
- Engage in fundraising, budgeting, and community outreach activities.
- Create program materials and ensure programs meet stated objectives and goals.
- Organize and manage special events to promote the organization and its programs.
- Collaborate with the AAA Director, Supervisor, Regional Ombudsman, SHIP Coordinator, Programs Assistant, Nutrition Supervisor, and other Service Coordinators.
- Conduct data collection and reporting to support program evaluation and improvement.
Qualifications
- Current certifications as a Colorado Certified Ombudsman, SHIP Coordinator, and ADRC Coordinator.
- Experience in program development, community outreach, and event management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Knowledge of the Title III, Old Americans Act, and related services.
