We are currently seeking a personable, energetic, professional Patient Care Associate to join our outstanding team at Northeastern Eye Institute in Scranton, PA. The Patient Care Associate plays a crucial role in our practice, greeting patients as they enter, checking in and out, scheduling, and performing other administrative tasks.

 

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients in person and on the phone.• Answering patient questions or referring questions to the appropriate team member.• Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.• Notifying providers of patient arrivals.• Provide exceptional patient care and comfort patients by effectively answering questions.• Ensuring the availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.• Verify financial records and collect patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims.• Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting orders.• Required cross-training in the clinic and shift rotation help as needed. • Must have a flexible schedule.• Assisting patients at the Kiosk as needed. • Comfortable with rotating clinic departments throughout the day.

 

 

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.• Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.• Exceptional customer service skills.• Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced environment.• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.• Knowledge of MS Office.• Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus.• Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required, and I am willing to train the right candidate.• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
