Position Announcement: NJC CTE Career Navigator
Northeastern Junior College is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to serve as the Northeastern Junior College Career and Technical Education (CTE) Career Navigator. The positions purpose is to recruit students into the various CTE fields, support them during their program of study, and assist them with job placement. The position reports to the Dean of CTE Programs.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
- Seek out prospective students through outreach events and activities including school visits, career fairs, workforce events and other recruiting opportunities which requires travel inside and outside our five county service area.
- Assist agriculture and CTE students with career advising referrals to support services to enhance their academic and career success.
- Seek out employers to develop pathway programs that include employment and internship opportunities, student sponsorships and scholarships. This can include summer employment, job shadows, and other supporting activities.
- Work cooperatively with other departments, programs, and services on campus to promote, market, and recruit an adequate number of students to sustain the programs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need:
- Experience in a CTE field, or agricultural field
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel for recruitment events. This position may act as the Northeastern representative at recruitment functions or community events
- Experience in working with a diverse population
- Excellent organizational skills, public speaking ability, verbal and written communication. Open to meeting with employers in a variety of fields in the region
- Extensive experience with MS Office including Publisher, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point

- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with students, businesses, community members and the college team in a positive, relationship-building way.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
What We Can Offer:
This is a full-time professional appointment. Annual salary is $42,000-48,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
