The Department of Health and Kinesiology at Northeastern State
University is seeking a tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Health and
Kinesiology.
While the position will be based on the Tahlequah campus, teaching
may be extended to other NSU campuses as needed.
Responsibilities

The Department of Health and Kinesiology is housed in the College of Education and serves two undergraduate programs (i.e., Health and Human Performance & Health and Physical Education) and a graduate program. The H & K is characterized by a creative and collaborative faculty who foster learning through innovative classrooms, research, and service learning within the classrooms and in the community.
Annual salary: $56,130.00 with excellent benefits

Description Of Position
The Department of Health and Kinesiology at Northeastern State
University is seeking a tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Health and
Kinesiology.
While the position will be based on the Tahlequah campus, teaching

Responsibilities
- Twelve hours teaching load of undergraduate and graduate courses within the Department of Health and Kinesiology.
- Participate in college and department recruitment and retention efforts.
- Advise students within the department.
- Maintain scheduled office hours.
- Engage in scholarly activities internally or externally.
- Collaborate effectively with department and college members.
- Provide service to the department, the College, and the University.
- A doctoral degree is required in Kinesiology/Sport Management or a related field is required. Applicants who are in the process of completing their terminal degree and/or who are ABD will be considered. (Terminal degree required for tenure track position).
- Ability to teach a variety of classes related to sport management.
- Evidence of effective teaching and scholarly work in sport management and sport analytics.
- Capacity to teach across program levels (bachelor’s and master’s)
- Ability to teach via instructional delivery methods including face-to-face, service-learning, and online.
- Willingness to develop courses and curricular in the area of sport management and sport analytics.
