The Northeastern University Marketing department is looking for a Creative Operations Manager to join our growing dynamic team at the Roux Institute. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and scheduling of work that flows through the marketing department at the Roux Institute, keeping the team on task and on time. Reporting to Managing Director, Strategy, Operations, and Growth, you will work closely with the key cross-functional partners in both the central marketing and Roux Institute marketing teams; aligning on portfolio prioritization and shaping the creative process for efficiency and scalability. Responsibilities Include
- Oversee and facilitate all marketing work for the Roux Institute portfolio – from intake to completion
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify the scope, timelines and resources needed to successfully complete all assigned projects/tasks
- Ensure the team is on task and projects on deadline, handling the logistics and internally routing of work
- Communicate clear and actionable creative feedback to the team, distill information from cross functional partners and stakeholders, evaluate scope and arrange for revision timing accordingly
- Ability to identify when to escalate critical issues that affect project deadlines or deliverables in a timely manner
- Independently coordinate internal and external partners - including freelancers, agencies, and vendors - as needed, helping to cultivate relationships with a focus on building trust.
- Manage the contracts and invoicing process and reconciliation with all third-party vendors and agencies, involving stakeholders as needed.
- Leverage the central marketing team processes and dashboards to report out on portfolio health, communicating any possible issues with workload and prioritization
- Establish and reinforce best practices and documentation
- Increase efficiencies by proactively identifying and solving problems, and integrating with marketing team leads.
Provide the minimum education, experience, and skills required to perform the job successfully.
- 5 years of experience in a marketing traffic, project management, operations or production role
- Proficient with project management practices and software
- Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and time management
- A respectful, collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with a “can do” attitude with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to develop cross-functional relationships (e.g. writers, designers, developers and senior management)
- Experience planning and managing a portfolio with a high volume of work – both print and digital projects.
Marketing Portfolio Management - 50%

- Ensure the team is on task and projects on deadline, handling the logistics and internally routing of work
- Communicate clear and actionable creative feedback to the team, distill information from cross functional partners and stakeholders, evaluate scope and arrange for revision timing accordingly
- Respond to project issues that may impeded project delivery and coordinate solutions
- Monitor and analyze project metrics to identify opportunities for operational and financial efficiency
- Define methodologies to set productivity and quality targets and to assess results for all projects
