The Research Scientist in Responsible AI will be working at the intersection of industry and academia. - engaging in technical Responsible AI analyses of AI systems and model
- developing Responsible AI tools and practices
- conducting multidisciplinary research on responsible AI
- engaging with ethics and innovation teams
- developing workflows for RAI practices
- guiding EAI’s internal AI development team (AI Solutions Hub) to integrate responsible AI approaches into their solutions
- collaborating with business development team to connect with industry partners

GENERAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, VALUES & ABILITIES NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE
Degree: Ph.D. in computer science, AI, Data Science, or related fields by the appointment start date. Qualifications:
- Candidates are not required to have any prior working experience, but previous industry experience in Responsible AI is desired
- A record of successful research and research collaborations in responsible AI as evidenced by publications, grants, software outputs, and other scholarly measures of impact is desired
- independently with responsible AI,
- within multidisciplinary teams regularly interacting with ethics, policy, and business experts,
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities;
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, and the willingness to work with multiple researchers, and technical staff in an interdisciplinary environment;
- Must be able to exercise judgment and discretion, and to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills for reaching audiences both in and out of one’s own field; and
