Experience Required
One (1) to two (2) years of production experience in a fabrication manufacturing environment.
Certifications
Freon Certification Recommended
Knowledge Required
Forklift Operation, Gas Flux Torch System. Must be able to read tape measure within 1/16”, ability to read and understand the English language, ability to distinguish colors. Basic computer skills. Must be able to utilize time clock software.
Skill Set Required
Use of hand and power tools, reading and interpreting schematics. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assembles components and utilizes pipe bender in accordance with production.
Sets up and operates all phases of brazing applications using clamps, fixtures and torches working to specified tolerances.
Sets up, joins or fabricates parts working with blueprints, sketches or verbal orders.
Cleans parts using water jet to remove contamination prior to brazing.
Paints parts with and without spray gun.
Regulates flow of gases for proper mixture.
Moves material with appropriate equipment throughout the work area a needed.
Pressure test units. Insulates, caulks and foams pipes as necessary. Vacuuming and charging units.
Troubleshoot and identify any leaks or defective components to be consistent and repair/replace.
Maintains tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
Completes standard job sheets for each job.
Assists management in recommending tooling needs.
Complies with company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations, including wearing personal protective clothing and equipment.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is loud.
Physical Demands
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to or over 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms with dexterity and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb, use ladders, balance and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl and work confined spaces. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Employee is required to adhere to all required PPE, including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves appropriate for material being handled. Use of respirators, dust masks, brazing glasses and flame retardant clothing are required. Closed toe shoes are required in production areas. Leather steel toe boots recommended.
