Technician roles are posted at all levels 1, 2, and Senior and will be filled based on skills, certifications and experience.
The Test Material Technician will engage in performing basic test material management such as labeling, storage, reconciliation and disposal of test and control article and / or vehicle. Responsibilities include preparation of compounds which includes calculations, aseptic technique, use of micropipette and laminar flow hood and / or biological safety cabinet in accordance with SOPs requirements. You will provide technical oversight on assigned studies and work on having point technician duties, including study book preparation, and data review for GLP compliance. You will also assist in supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and shipping procedures. Regular working hours would be between 6 : 00am – 2 : 30pm. This is a non-exempt role that is eligible for overtime after 40 hours in a workweek and has no supervisory responsibilities.
A High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelor’s Degree with 6 months of experience preferred. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office core applications and LIMS data collection and the ability to learn and use additional applications and maintain good written and oral communication. This role works both in a laboratory and an office environment. There will be exposure to animal pathogens and chemicals. You must have the ability to don and wear personal protective gear, including N95 mask and respirators. Physical activity including lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying (up to 40lbs for up to 50 feet), pushing / pulling (up to 75lbs force) reaching, gripping / pinching, standing, and ascending ladder without restriction.
