As Northern Electric’s Controller your role is vital to NEI’s success, as the Controller position oversees the companies accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance and providing financial insight to support decision making withing the company. This requires knowledge in various accounting software platforms and being a master level user of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word). With a proven track record of maintaining accurate financial records, improving internal control and process improvement methods, providing valuable financial analysis to internal management and implementing measurable cost saving initiatives.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLSETS
· Create accurate and timely financial statements for internal management.
· Calculate and review monthly revenue recognition for work in process jobs.
· Evaluate job costing report and made necessary changes to improve forecasting of future project cost.
· Compile yearly budget and provide supporting documentation and justification to upper management.
· Provide quarterly, and as needed, forecasts to internal management.
· Advise management on current and long-term status of business activities and financial performance.
· Lead weekly upper management meetings to help drive business forward.
· Serve as primary liaison with internal and external Financial and IT auditors.
· Manage the efforts of two assigned direct reports (dotted line to three others).
· Serve as backup for Payroll processing.
· Organizational skills, strong attention to detail and a self-starter. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATES
· Certified Public Accountant – State of Wisconsin
· Bachelors in Business Administration Accounting & Finance
· Completed graduate level courses to obtain the proper education credits to sit for the CPA exam.
TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE
· MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word
· Microsoft Windows & Outlook
· Construction/Accounting Software

Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
