Overall Purpose of Position
The Quality Control Assistant is responsible for the management of calibration, sample submission, control plans/FMEA's, and statistical process control. The position is also responsible for the coordination of Management Review. This position supports the Quality Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains calibration records/ database (Gage Track) and performs calibrations as applicable. Distributes calibration due listings monthly.
- Serves as a representative for Quality during the program management process review and updates Program Management data base as applicable (SPC/Calibration/Control Plans/FMEA/Process Flows / PPAPs).
- Manages Control Chart Tracking (CPK's).
- Manages Preliminary Process Capability Studies (PPKs) and reports monthly for Management Review.
- Maintains the system for Control Plans/FMEA and Process Flows and Works with applicable personnel to develop and manage changes along with distributions.
- Ensures sample submission requirements are met and put sample submissions together. Uploads into customer specific data / applicable data bases.
- Manages dimensional / performance testing request forms, and reviews the results for acceptance.
- Corrective/Preventive Actions and management of Customer Concerns (as applicable).

- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge and experience with geometric dimension and tolerancing (GD & T).
- Statistical Process Control Methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills.
