Northern Gastroenterology, a department of Northern Regional Hospital, is recruiting a Board Certified (or Board Eligible) Gastroenterologist to join our current practice. We are seeking candidates to join our group who will be ready to hit the ground running as we continue to expand our services while building a solid career as a member of our team. Operating Room procedures are in scheduled block times 2-3 days per week with ten days on-call per month. No robotics, ERCP, or EUS but do perform capsule endoscopy among other general Gastroenterology procedures.
This opportunity offers competitive compensation with a base salary plus incentive bonus. Located in Mount Airy, North Carolina, the Northern Regional Hospital’s Physician Network is a robust and well-established 55 member multi-specialty group practice including: Family Medicine, Occupational Health, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Urology, Gastroenterology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Hospitalists, and Urgent Care.
Northern Regional Hospital is one of largest employers in Mount Airy, employing nearly 1,000 caregivers. The hospital has 133 beds and offers a state-of-the-art Surgery Center with integrated digital operating rooms, caring surgeons and anesthesia team, Obstetrics and Gynecology unit with Level I Nursery and C-section suite on the unit, a Skilled Nursing Facility, full-service Hospitalist program, and Emergency Department with 36,000 visits annually.
We are located approximately 1.5 hours from Charlotte, 2.5 hours from Raleigh, and 1 hour from Greensboro. Winston-Salem is a short 30 minute drive away for more exclusive shopping and dining experiences. The population in Mount Airy is around 12,000. Surry County has just over 72,000 citizens and the primary service area, which includes southern Virginia, is approximately 100,000.
