Position: Sales Manager, Hotel
The Northern Hotel, Billings’ premier full service business and convention hotel seeks a Sales Manager. The Northern Hotel is a newly renovated four star property that re-opened in March of 2013 offering the finest product in the state of Montana. We offer 160 guest rooms and suites, along with 12,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants, a lounge, room service, gym and retail space. Amenities include state of the art technological offerings in the rooms and public areas of the hotel, along with the levels of service that the discerning business/ social traveler has come to expect.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Locating, developing, negotiating, and closing business relationships
- Represent the hotel while striving to ensure that the maximum revenue in rooms, meeting spaces, and food & beverage is achieved
- Respond to sales inquiries
- Actively search for an attain new sales prospects
- Entertain sales clients
- Conduct site visits
- Prepare proposals and contracts, as needed
- Develop sales plans
- Assist in determining rates
- Partner with catering to ensure that all guest needs are met
- Design, develop, and sell creative events, including catering
- Ensure that all budgets are consistently met
- Understand overall market (trends, competitors strengths and weaknesses, supply and demand)

Requirements the ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of one to two years sales experience, preferably in hospitality
- A demonstrated knowledge of maintaining four-star level service
- Enthusiasm
- Open availability, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Problem solving skills
- A “can-do” attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,500.00 per year
