Northern Lehigh School District is seeking a Director of Athletics and Student Activities to oversee and enhance the district’s athletic and extracurricular programs. This role involves managing daily operations, long-term planning, staffing, budgeting, and event coordination for grades 7-12 athletics and activities.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in education, Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of five years of experience in event/activity management preferred.
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of PIAA policies, scheduling, and event planning.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Develop and oversee athletic and activity programs, ensuring student engagement and success.
· Supervise staff, coaches, and volunteers, providing training and guidance.
· Ensure compliance with PIAA, District XI, and league policies.
· Manage budgets, scheduling, and facility use for events and activities.
· Collaborate with neighboring districts and community stakeholders.
· Maintain safety standards and address emergency situations as needed
