What are the responsibilities and job description for the Demand Planning Analyst position at Northern Lights?
Primary Duties:
- Assist in the development of the forecast, material demand plan and the manufacturing plan
- Perform data entry and analysis on forecasts within the demand planning software and/or excel tools
- Manage alerts within the demand planning software with the assistance of the Planning Manager
- Cross train with Demand/Supply Planner to assist and act as a back-up in all aspects of this role
- Assist in maintaining accurate master data within ERP system
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
- Assist the Buyer & Planning Team with purchase order tracking, maintaining accurate delivery dates in the system, monitoring supplier performance and analyzing air freight costs or other impacts to the supply chain when needed
- Run Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly reports and partner with the Planning Manager to prepare for business updates, inventory reviews and other ad-hoc projects
- Follow changing product lifecycles and new product development to update related planning activities
- Develop critical actionable information, data sets, and reports to represent critical supply chain needs
- Look for areas where improvements can be made and assist in the development of processes and tools to prevent stockouts, maintain ideal inventory levels and minimize waste
- Support the implementation of the S&OP operating system
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
- 0-2 years’ experience in supply chain or related analytical fields
- 0-2 years of forecasting and demand planning experience preferred
- Experience utilizing Demand Planning software
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
- Advanced MS Office skills – Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
