Position Purpose:
The Refinery Planning Analyst is responsible for planning and monitoring daily refinery oil flows, as well as updating the refinery schedule in Excel. This role involves estimating refinery production and providing updates on finished product and intermediate inventories to the Operations, Supply, and Marketing departments. The analyst also prepares detailed oil flow plans for refinery shutdowns and conducts economic analyses for special projects. Additionally, the analyst supports the Director by managing and maintaining the linear programming model and assists the Planning Department on special projects as needed.
Position Description - Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to ensure optimal refinery throughput and product yield.
· Collaborate with S&T and Operations teams to prepare short- and long-term forecasts, aligning production schedules with market demand and maintenance activities.
· : Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide input on refinery performance, capacity planning, and new project initiatives.
· Analyze refinery capacity, performance data, and inventory levels to identify areas of improvement and potential bottlenecks.
· Analyze refinery data to identify trends, performance metrics, and KPIs, generating reports and presenting findings to management.
· Suggest and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency, minimize costs, and enhance refinery productivity.

Competencies/Skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with refinery-specific software such as ProcessBook, Aveva Spiral Suite, and similar platforms is a plus.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
Work Environment
· This position is based in an office environment, with occasional visits to the refinery facility. The role may require periodic interaction with operational teams, on-site visits for data collection, and participation in cross-functional meetings.

Required Education and Experience

· Experience in refinery planning, production scheduling, or related roles in a refinery or manufacturing environment.
