Job Title: Broadband Program Manager
Department: Planning and Development
Reports to: Director of Economic and Community Development
SUMMARY:
The Broadband Program Manager will manage broadband planning initiatives, convene community and regional partners, and oversee the implementation of digital skills programs. This role requires experience in broadband expansion, coalition-building, and program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead regional broadband planning efforts to expand reliable internet access.
- Convene and coordinate a broad alliance of local partners, including municipalities, non-profits, and businesses.
- Align local, regional, and state-level stakeholders for efficient program execution.
- Oversee digital skills programs to help communities better utilize internet resources.
- Engage with organizations like the Maine Broadband Coalition to stay updated on industry trends.
- Secure funding through grants and partnerships.
- Track program progress and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
- Advocate for broadband priorities in Aroostook County.
- Attended Quarterly meetings with Maine Connectivity Authority for program guidance
Qualifications:
- Experience in broadband planning, community-driven broadband initiatives, or digital skills programming.
- Ability to build and engage a diverse coalition of stakeholders.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- If new to the field, the ability to quickly prioritize broadband in organizational goals.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Maine Broadband Coalition and Maine Connectivity Authority.
- Experience in public policy, community development, or related fields.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
