Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who is a self-starter and an excellent team player. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of duties, including patient intake (vitals and history), patient calls, patient care coordination, and scheduling. The candidate will be required to work at our Poughkeepsie, Hopewell and Fishkill locations, so reliable transportation is a must.
Responsibilities:
Conduct patient intake procedures, including vital signs and medical history.
Handle patient calls and inquiries professionally and efficiently.
Assist in patient care coordination and scheduling appointments.
Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality patient care.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Qualifications:
Prior clinical medical experience is required, preferably in a medical office setting.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is preferred, with eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience being a significant plus.
Must have reliable transportation for commuting between locations.
