Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties : Maintain student academic records, including repeated courses, academic deletion, academic totals; record the receipt of transfer transcripts into Banner; check in and distribute advance placement documents and distribute; oversee the scanning and indexing of daily record documents, verifying their accuracy by committing these documents; verify we have received all required documents for student files; initiate and maintain holds for missing documentation; supervise, schedule and train students; manage classroom reservations for departments and student organizations; help with customer service of walk-in and telephones traffic; provide support for the processing of transcript and enrollment verification requests; update address and name changes; maintain obituaries; maintain restrictions on student records; maintain filing system; maintain and update various software programs, office forms, and filing systems.

Required Minimum Work Experience : Three years of progressive office work experience or an Associate's Degree or two years coursework leading to a Bachelor's Degree.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties : Customer service skills, including the ability to work positively and effectively with emotionally charged individuals.
Organizational and record keeping skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
Ability to utilize a variety of computer programs and to learn new programs quickly.
Ability to utilize good judgment when making decisions, including knowing when to consult with a supervisor or other staff member.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
