What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Medical Assitant position at Northern Nevada HOPES?
The Administrative Medical Assistant performs a combination of administrative and clinical tasks within the healthcare setting. The Administrative Medical Assistant is responsible for processing medication prior authorizations in a timely manner from insurance companies to help with medication coverage. This includes providing clinical notes to insurance companies, aiding in communication between providers and pharmacies, and keeping in communication with leader about workload. The Administrative Medical Assistant supports the multidisciplinary team through assisting with other clinical staff workloads and supporting staff coverage as needed.
