Customer Service Associate

Northern Nurseries in Barrington, NH, is seeking a full-time Customer Service Associate from March to November – depending on seasonal weather fluctuations.

We provide a one-stop shopping experience for landscapers, where they can select all the plants and related goods to complete residential or commercial landscapes. We have the largest selection of trees, evergreens, flowering shrubs, and perennials in the Northeast. In addition, we offer a large selection of pavers, grass seed, fertilizers, soil conditioners and more. We are one of the fastest growing companies in the industry.

In this position you will:

• Interact with customers regarding their current orders by assisting them with product selection and providing exceptional service and support.
• Write new orders for our Landscape customers.
• Organize horticulture product for deliveries to job sites and help maintain the overall organization of the Yard.
• Assist customers with horticulture, hardscape and landscape product selection and provide additional support when needed.
• Unload product from incoming trucks and load products onto outbound vehicles for both our customer and for Company transfers.
• Maintain our nursery stock by replenishing or moving nursery stock and landscape products at the site as directed.
• The position requires physicality; you must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Previous experience with forklifts and front-end loaders & knowledge of nursery stock or plants is a PLUS.
• Other job duties assigned which are related to site.

Requirements:

• Energetic, reliable and customer-centered
• Safety focused and have an excellent work ethic
• Experience in the green industry, horticulture and familiarity with landscapes, hardscape products, nursery goods, landscape lighting, irrigation, fertilizer and soil amendments, weed and pest control products and other landscaping accessories and supplies.
• Willing to learn the landscaping products that we carry
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work outside in most weather conditions
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
• Be at least 18 years old
• Experience working in a garden nursery, greenhouses, forestry, farming or irrigation products is a plus
• Experience operating equipment such as forklifts or front-end loaders a plus
