Project Manager – Millwork Shop
Established woodworking facility, specializing in commercial millwork and casework, is seeking a qualified, experienced individual to join our team as a Millwork Project Manager! This position will provide oversight of multiple projects in an expanding, fast-paced working environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experienced in Millwork and Casework building and installation methods.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- 5 years of experience in architectural millwork or equivalent field.
- Able to read architectural drawings/blueprints.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Highly motivated and quality/result-driven.
- Team player with the ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
- Clean driving record.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage multiple projects from inception to delivery, through installation.
- Analyze job requirements, define the scope, and set project timelines for submittals, fabrication, and installation.
- Review all submittal/shop drawings prior to client review.
- Prepare RFI's, Change Orders, and conduct follow-ups.
- Attain and check field measurements; coordinate with other trades to ensure a successful installation.
- Maintain open communication with owner and colleagues building trusting relationships with contractors and subcontractors.
- Create and maintain project schedules.
- Work closely with the production team to determine best practices while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare pricing and negotiate change orders with contractors and subcontractors.
- Accurately process billings to customers and change authorization to subcontractors.
