What are the responsibilities and job description for the Testing Center Proctor position at Northern VA Community College?
The position will provide test proctoring and administration services at the Manassas Campus.
The purpose of this position is to provide students with correct exam, appropriate materials, and proper environment to complete exam in a timely manner.
Job Duties:
- Actively monitor testers while in the testing environment to ensure exam integrity.
- Report academic integrity violations to the supervisor immediately.
- Administer exams according to Center, College, and testing company policies and guidelines, as well as State and Federal law.
- Support the front desk to make sure student information, and tests are correctly administered.
- Must be available to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to communicate multi-step instructions.
- Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Computer competency; ability to learn new technology quickly.
- Ability to function well in a high stress environment.
- Must be available to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in high traffic customer service and/or educational support field
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in a multicultural environment interacting with speakers of varying levels of English proficiency.
- May not be a current NOVA student
- Previous test administration and/or proctoring experience
- Experience in higher education environment
