Medical Biller

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our amazing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, maintaining stats and overseeing medical records. This role is crucial in facilitating the financial operations of our chiropractic/ medical multi-disciplinary clinic, and requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing practices.

Duties

• Accurately process medical billing claims for insurance reimbursement.
• Utilize ICD-10 coding and DRG classifications to ensure proper billing.
• Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
• Conduct medical collections as necessary to ensure timely payment from patients and insurance companies.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
• Assist in the preparation of reports related to billing and collections.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of various coding systems including ICD-10.
• Experience in medical billing, coding, and collection processes within a medical office setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software tools.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and insurance representatives.
• Previous experience in handling medical records is preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
