Join the NVFS Family : We are looking to hire a Bilingual Social Worker to join the NVFS Youth Initiatives team! As the Social Worker, you will provide community-based clinical case management services to youth receiving funding through the Children's Services Act (CSA), that provides funding and multi-disciplinary planning to help meet the needs of children with significant emotional or behavioral challenges and their families in Virginia. You will focus specifically on youth and families who are Spanish speaking and / or immigrant families and eligible for support through CSA. In this role you will serve as the Lead Case Manager for the youth and their family.
Your Future Team : The Youth Initiatives Programs of NVFS utilize a highly effective, trauma-informed, culturally relevant service model to provide multi-modal "neighborhood based-school connected" services designed to ensure that at-risk immigrant youth and families are able to thrive in their chosen communities; succeed academically and socially; and that the communities themselves are equipped to prevent future community and family violence. The complex issues facing low-income immigrant families living in high crime, high poverty neighborhoods require a comprehensive prevention, intervention and therapeutic approach that centers on youth in the context of the family and community.
