This position is responsible for the operation of facilities for the collection and distribution of water and for operations and maintenance on all facilities as assigned. Duties include monitoring and data collection at canal outlet works, reservoirs, dams and water conveyance pipelines. Data collection includes recording reservoir elevations and water flows. This individual will also perform maintenance and repairs of canals, reservoirs, pipelines, structures and roads. In addition, this person will patrol Northern Water waterways and assist with infrastructure maintenance.
Requirements : High School Diploma or Equivalent Valid Driver's License At least one year of work experience in construction or water systems operations and maintenance. Experience in operation of heavy equipment is preferred. CDL is preferred and will be required after six months of employment. May be trained, tested, and / or be licensed as a Certified Pesticide Applicator after six months of employment.
