Job Summary
This position will assist in managing production and other activities in the agriculture greenhouses, including watering, planting, maintenance, cleaning and organization, fertilizing, pest control, and prepping for the plant sale. They may have responsibilities in communicating with and managing students and student groups in greenhouse activities. They will have significant responsibility in ensuring that plants growing in the greenhouse are healthy, and that the greenhouse facilities are being used appropriately. This position may also involve helping the Agriculture faculty with general office duties, lab classroom prep and other special projects. Prior experience growing plants and working in a greenhouse is preferred. The student can expect to work 5 – 10 hours a week with a maximum of 12 hours

Education/Qualifications
- Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
- Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
- Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
- Preferred: Completed HORT 2010 Greenhouse Management with a B or better.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Detail oriented

- Good communication skills
- Preferred: Experience taking care of plants
- Preferred: Experience with greenhouse production
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Standing,
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Must wear PPE when working with laboratory chemicals or pesticides
- Available on weekends to water and manage activities in the greenhouse.
