- Organize and handle staff paperwork and schedules
- Seek donations from Northfield organizations
- Apply for applicable grants and complete grant follow-up paperwork
- Support staff with on-site needs (equipment, updated rosters, timesheets, supplies, questions)
- Assist recreation coordinator with program and staff evaluations, follow-up meetings, and wrap-up meetings
- Attend the Concerts in the Park Series on Wednesday evenings to take photos and provide administrative support to the Northfield Library staff.
- Capture photos and videos of each recreation program, post on social media, and help develop marketing videos
- Move large amounts of recreation equipment as needed
- Support program supervisors and staff with on-site coach training if applicable to personal strengths
- Perform other duties as assigned by recreation coordinator

Qualifications:
Evidence of successful related work or educational experience, or future desire to work in recreation field
Proof of excellent communication and human relations skills
Proof of excellent decision-making and problem solving skills
Ability to supervise part-time staff and program participants
Ability to be flexible, creative, courageous and authoritative when needed
Ability to self-initiate and manage personal daily schedule
Willingness to work evenings as needed
Must be age 18 to apply
Pay Rate/Range:
$16.58/hr.-$17.87/hr.

Job Summary:
The summer intern is responsible for overseeing recreation staff, program operations, and will provide administrative and recreational support for the Community Education office and program staff. This position will help to secure the overall effectiveness and value of various recreational, sport, and aquatic programs. It demands initiative taking, effective communication, and ability to deliver an outstanding experience for staff, participants, and their families. This recreation internship is a paid position, and will be scheduled for full-time work between the end of May through mid August, with flexibility given.
