What are the responsibilities and job description for the Addiction Therapist position at Northlake Behavioral Health System?
Position Summary: The Therapist should provide quality clinical and psychotherapeutic services to patients and their families;
Essential Functions:
- Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of quality treatment to patients and their families.
- Oversees all aspects of clinical care and treatment delivered to patients assigned to his/her caseload.
- Works collaboratively with other departments within the clinic to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and to develop clinically sound, therapeutic interventions and treatment goals for patients as clinically indicated.
- Conducts ongoing assessments and monitors progress of patients assigned to their caseload
- Assists in the development of clinical programs and therapeutic interventions for patient; complies with all regulatory and facility policies, procedures and protocols, monitors patient safety and patient treatment.
- Fosters a positive, therapeutic milieu for patients and demonstrates respect for co-workers, patients, family members and outside agency representatives.
- Monitors customer satisfaction with clinical services and serves as liaison with agency or referral sources to resolve problems or issues; follows all HR policies/procedures.
- Reports all serious occurrences and incidents and keeps agencies, internal managers, family members informed of issues/problems involving their patients.
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, LPC
Specialty certification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of clinical work experience or psychiatric settings
