The IT Helpdesk technician will perform Help Desk functions to support NLCC staff with application support, desktop support and phone system support. IT help desk technicians are team members on company projects and initiatives
Essential Functions of the Job: [Other duties may be assigned.]
- Perform daily Help Desk functions; provide technical support for internal clients via phone, Email and walk-ups in accordance with the IT department’s SOPs.
- Trouble-shoot downtime system issues with business applications
- Install, configure and support business applications, including EPIC, Dentrix, Microsoft Office, Google and Adobe products
- Install, configure and support Windows desktops, laptops and related hardware including tablets and smart phones.
- Work with EMR support team on updates/ troubleshooting.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent and one-year related IT support experience and/or training. Requires two years of experience with Microsoft Office and Windows desktop operating systems. Knowledge of TCP/IP network support preferred. Strong Windows OS and network troubleshooting skills. Industry certifications (A Certification and/or Microsoft Office Specialist) desirable.
Preferred Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Electronic Health and Dental Records and UDS Reporting Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
