Position Overview: We are seeking an organized, proactive, and customer-focused General Merchandise Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ordering, placement, and merchandising weekly orders, as well as setting seasonal displays. You will anticipate customer needs and ensure product availability, while contributing to the successful execution of merchandising goals and sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order merchandise weekly and ensure placement in accordance with sales and merchandising strategies.
- Set up seasonal displays and ensure the align with the brand's vision and customer preferences.
- Anticipate customer needs and adjust accordingly to ensure product availability.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to implement merchandising goals and meet sales targets.
- Receive, inspect, and accurately price incoming merchandise
- Read, interpret, and set up planograms to create effective product displays.
- Ensure the sales floor is visually appealing and properly stocked at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail and merchandising experience is a plus.
- Comfortable with reading and setting planograms
- Flexible with available hours and capable of adjusting to adjusting to changing schedules.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, with a focus on customer satisfaction and meeting sales goals.
- Ability to accurately track and maintain inventory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk , and bend for extended periods of time.
This position is in a fast-paced retail environment. Schedule flexibility is a must in order to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
