What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Teaching Staff position at Northminster Learning Center?
We are seeking multiple staff members who are enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Teachers. At NLC Summer Camp you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, grow, and have fun. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young campers. 2-4 days/week available (18-36 hours/week)
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities with a fellow staff member, including games, arts and crafts, and sports
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth and development
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where campers feel valued and supported
- Assist with meal times, ensuring campers are well-nourished and following dietary restrictions
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive camp experience
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
```Requirements```
- Previous experience working with children is preferred
- Knowledge or experience in school setting is a plus
- Strong skills in behavior management
- Excellent classroom management skills to maintain order and discipline among children in the classroom
