Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role will focus primarily on IT support, including end-user assistance, system administration, and supporting our VOIP solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to employees across multiple locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and VoIP systems.
- Administer and support Google Workspace (Gsuite) for user account management, security settings, and application integration.
- Manage and track support requests using a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
- Assist with VoIP phone system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Support endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Maintain detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps, system changes, and resolutions.
- Educate and assist users with IT-related inquiries, improving their technical proficiency.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Perform other IT support duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in an IT support role (Tier 1 / Tier 2).
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
- Experience with Google Workspace (Gsuite) administration, including user and group management.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and best practices in IT service management.
- Exposure to VoIP technologies, including phone provisioning, troubleshooting, and call routing.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based VoIP systems (e.g., RingCentral, 8x8, Cisco Webex, or similar).
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automating tasks.
- Experience supporting Active Directory and basic user/group management.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A , Google IT Support Professional, or similar.
