You will have a key role in shaping NorthRock’s technology roadmap, elevating operational efficiency, and supporting our growing firm's digital transformation.
About the Role
The Director of IT & Product Management will oversee the full lifecycle of firm-wide technology initiatives, from strategic planning and product management to adoption and support. You will collaborate across departments to enhance infrastructure, improve CRM platforms, and strengthen security, while also managing key vendor partnerships. What You Will Do
- Drive and execute a strategic technology roadmap aligned with firm growth objectives
- Research and implement best practices from RIAs and financial firms to enhance NorthRock’s technology stack
- Lead Agile product development cycles, translating stakeholder input into actionable user stories and ensuring strong adoption
- Strengthen cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data protection strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and scalability
- Manage, optimize, and enhance CRM and application platforms (Salesforce, Black Diamond, eMoney, Wealth.com)
- Improve IT help desk services, implementing automation to enhance employee experience and workflow efficiency
- Act as a strategic partner with external technology vendors, driving value and evaluating emerging solutions
- Foster collaboration between IT, compliance, investment, and operations teams to support cross-functional initiatives
- Implement AI-driven and automation solutions to enhance security, workflow, and risk management processes
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or a related field required
- 8 years of technology product management experience, preferably in financial services or an RIA environment
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile teams
- Deep knowledge of product management processes and full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Expertise in CRM management, financial software, and trading tools (Salesforce, Tamarac, Black Diamond, Orion, etc.)
- Strong cybersecurity and compliance knowledge relevant to financial services
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and technology partnerships
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking to meet business needs and deliver results

Compensation & Benefits
The estimated base pay salary rate for this role is $112,454 - $168,680 per year. Base salaries are determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, depending on the role, many roles are eligible for variable pay such as bonuses, commissions, and/or long-term incentives. Work Conditions
- Physical Requirements: This role requires occasional physical activity such as lifting, moving, and setting up computer equipment (monitors, docking stations, desktops, etc.). Ability to lift up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
- Repetitive Duties: The position involves extended periods of sitting and computer use, as well as repetitive tasks related to troubleshooting and data entry.
