What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Advisor Practice (Summer 2025) position at Northrock Partners, LLC?
Our competitive internship program attracts top undergraduate students interested in gaining invaluable exposure to the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) space. Over the course of 12 weeks, interns will gain real-world experience and relevant industry knowledge. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in challenging projects, interact with a variety of industry professionals, and further explore their interests in the financial services industry.
We are currently looking for an intern to join our advisor practice for the 2025 summer. Due to the nature of internship responsibilities, this position requires the ability to work on site at our Deer Park, IL office.
Essential Functions
- Maintain data accuracy within internal systems across different areas of advice to ensure data is clean and reliable.
- Gather client information to ensure true and complete information is documented within internal systems.
- Support client service teams as needed which may include paperwork, data entry pre and post client meetings, work with asset custodians, etc.
- Represent advisor practices by partnering with internal business partners to complete tasks
- Gain exposure to all roles of a large RIA team through job shadowing and assistance with special projects
- Support the planning and execution of local client events
- Partner with other interns to provide recommendation to a real-life business case within the practice
Required Education & Experience
- Pursing a bachelor’s degree in related field such as finance, financial planning, management, etc.
- In 3rd or 4th year of college undergraduate program
- Prior industry experience is preferred
Our Compensation & Benefits
