- Position: Physician Assistant - Vascular Surgery
- Location: Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL
- Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Hours: (4) 10-hour weekday shifts between 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (staggered shifts). Q5 weekends and rotating holidays.
- Required Travel: Evanston Hospital
- License: Current Physician Assistant License in the State of Illinois required. DEA & Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
- Education: Bachelor degree required; Master degree preferred.
- Certification: CPR certification required
- Experience: One year of Physician Assistant experience preferred.
- Skills: N/A
- Position covers inpatient, hospitalized surgical patients on the vascular surgery service.
- Performs 1st and 2nd assist duties in the operating room, including suturing, post op wound care, and managing infections.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment to patients specific to their area of expertise.
- Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
- Performs independent evaluation and treatment procedures in emergency situations in accordance with policies established
